Cobb loaf – AKA Spinach Dip

This retro dip is seriously addictive but perfect for summer rooftop BBQ’s!

Cobb Loaf or Spinach Dip


1 large cob loaf

2 x 250g packets of frozen spinach

30g packet of French onion soup

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup light sour cream

4 spring onions

1 x 190g can water chestnuts, sliced


Hollow out the cob loaf and tear the bread into pieces.

Mix all the ingredients together and and pour into the middle of the cob loaf.

Toast the extra bread in the oven slightly and serve with extra baguette if necessary.

Warming the Cobb Loaf also helps to make the bread nice and crispy
